How to Get a PAC Code from EE

Your EE PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) is the code that moves your EE number to another network. Under Ofcom's text-to-switch rules, EE must give it to you instantly and free — no retention calls, no charges on rolling plans.

All 3 ways to get your EE PAC code

1. Text PAC to 65075 (fastest)

The universal Ofcom switching service. Send "PAC" to 65075 from the EE number you want to keep — the code arrives by return text in under a minute. Works for contract and PAYG customers alike.

2. EE app

Open the EE app → Account → look for "Leave EE" or the switching section. Your PAC displays instantly with any early termination fee shown if you're still in contract.

3. Call EE

Call 150 free from your EE phone, or 07953 966 250 from another phone. Expect security checks and possibly a retention offer — texting is faster.

What happens after you get the code

• Your PAC is valid for 30 days — request a new one if it expires.
• Give it to your new network when activating their SIM. The number transfers within one working day.
• Your EE account and billing end automatically when the transfer completes — no separate cancellation needed on rolling plans.
• On a fixed-term contract, remaining months may be charged — check the info text that arrives with your PAC.
